IRELAND’S top golfers have overwhelmingly come out in favour of the ‘3’ Irish Open moving next year to Killarney.

The tournament to be staged on the Killeen course from July 29 to August 1 and will be officially confirmed in Dublin on Tuesday by Martin Cullen, T.D., Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism.

It will be the first occasion since 1992 that Ireland’s premier event has headed to Ireland’s South-West.
