McIlroy in third place in Race to Dubai
He remains third behind Martin Kaymer and Paul Casey after tying for seventh in the Omega Swiss Masters. He has accumulated €1,726,927 so far this year and is €238,133 behind Casey and €255,128 adrift of Kaymer.
The German and the Englishman are on the injured list at present and so vulnerable to a late season challenge by McIlroy. However, instead of chasing a chunk of the €2m on offer in the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Cologne this week, Rory plays in the Kolon Bank Korean Open at the Woo Jeung Hills Golf Club near Seoul, which doesn’t count in the Race to Dubai.
