Turner fails to retain Gopher

Muskerry’s Niall Turner came up short in his bid to retain the Gopher Invitational he won last year.

The invitational was again held in Spring Hill GC where the rough is grown to US Open standard, which makes course very demanding.

The event was played in blustery cold conditions, particularly the last round where the average score was 78.
