Clarke out after scorecard mistake

DARREN CLARKE was disqualified from the $4.5 million PGA Buick Invitational after signing an incorrect scorecard on Saturday.

Clarke, 34, mistakenly recorded a four instead of a five on the par-four 12th hole during the tournament's third round.

Britain's Laura Davies charged through the field with a course-record 67 to tie with Australia's Tamara Hyett only to lose in the sudden-death play-off for the Australian LPG Championship at the Horizons Resort in New South Wales.
