Ernie overdue over here as Big Easy charts course

ERNIE ELS is one of the world’s busiest golfers, otherwise he swears he would have seen the site of his new course at Hangmans Point near Kinsale long before now.

The South African is one of the latest golfing stars to break into course architecture or more pertinently, to lend his name to such projects and with his experience of the game worldwide he should be better qualified than most in this area.

The Ernie Els Design team is working on the 200 million Kinsale project with PGA Golf Management. It will be managed by Hyatt International and developed by XCES Projects. Hangmans Point derived its name from a local landmark and was once the Kinsale racecourse.
