The West Waterford Junior Boys Foursome team created history at Dungarvan last Tuesday by bringing the first All-Ireland team title to the club.

They endured an extremely tight semi-final against Connacht champions Galway, with Seamus Power and Philip Spratt holding a four-hole advantage, and David Curran and Philip Walsh just one hole adrift.

They defeated met City of Derry in the final, showing outstanding skill and character, particularly 14-year olds Spratt and Walsh. They secured the coveted Green Pennant with Curran and Walsh winning by three holes, while Power and Spratt won by one hole.
