They endured an extremely tight semi-final against Connacht champions Galway, with Seamus Power and Philip Spratt holding a four-hole advantage, and David Curran and Philip Walsh just one hole adrift.
They defeated met City of Derry in the final, showing outstanding skill and character, particularly 14-year olds Spratt and Walsh. They secured the coveted Green Pennant with Curran and Walsh winning by three holes, while Power and Spratt won by one hole.
Further history was created by Philip Spratt, whose father Austin won the same competition playing for Dungarvan in 1985 at Athlone.
