Browne aims to emulate Drummond

IRELAND’S Stephen Browne heads for the European Challenge Tour’s Open de Toulouse this weekend looking to follow the path set by his old friend Scott Drummond.

Twelve months ago Drummond secured his place on The European Tour with victory at the Golf de Toulouse-Palmola before writing himself into golfing folklore by winning the 50th Volvo PGA Championship.

If Drummond had not scored victory in Toulouse, he might not have made it to the European Tour, and as a result, would not have stunned the golfing world with his sensational win at Wentworth Club.

Browne, who currently lies in 30th place on the Challenge Tour Rankings with €30,654, will tee up in Toulouse hoping to emulate Drummond and secure a place on European golf’s biggest stage as one of the top 15 ranked players before the season closes at the end of October.
