Munster finish opening day as the only winners

MUNSTER stole a march on their rivals as they finished the opening day of the U18 Girls’ Interpros in Killorglin, Co Kerry, as the only winners.

Having shared the morning foursomes with Leinster, Munster got the better of their rivals in the afternoon’s singles sessions to leave them 5-3 ahead at the end of the first day of play.

Sarah Cunningham put in one of the performances of the evening to beat Alice Davis of Royal Tara and so registered wins in both the singles and foursomes - not bad for her opening day on the fairways.
