Faldo returns to Muirfield for practice round

Nick Faldo's recovery from gastro-enteritis has enabled him to return to Muirfield ahead of next week's Open championship.

''I just had to do it, to come and remind myself of the course and of the subtleties of links golf,'' said Faldo after a practice round at the scene of his 1987 and 1992 victories.

''The course is exactly the way I remember it, just a lot greener.
