Treaty debuts for Allis and Dowling

Limerick manager John Allen has handed championship debuts to Conor Allis and Shane Dowling for Sunday’s Munster SHC quarter-final against Tipperary in Semple Stadium.

Allis and Dowling, members of last year’s Munster U21HC winning side, are named at centre-forward and left half-forward, respectively. Attacking duo Niall Moran and Declan Hannon are both listed amongst the substitutes.

Antrim boss Liam Bradley has named Aodhan Gallagher at midfield for their Ulster SFC clash with Monaghan despite the St Galls man having been a doubt with an arm injury.

Last year’s All-Ireland minor football winner Michael Quinlivan has been handed his senior championship debut by Tipperary boss Peter Creedon for Sunday’s Munster SFC quarter-final against Kerry. The Clonmel Commercials player has been selected at full-forward with left half-back Alan Campbell and left half-forward Shane Scully other newcomers to senior championship fare.

* Ballyboden St-Enda’s hopes of claiming a sixth successive Dublin SHC title ended last night after they suffered a 1-19 to 3-9 defeat by Cuala in a Group A clash
