Monaghan’s Oisín McGorman played on and scored a goal with a broken jaw during Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC quarter-final defeat to Louth in Croke Park.

McGorman was assessed for concussion after the foul by Seán Callaghan, which resulted in the Louth midfielder being sent off by referee Seán Hurson.

Callaghan’s shoulder contacted high with McGorman’s head in the seventh minute.

It is understood Louth will seek a meeting with the Central Hearings Committee about Callaghan’s one-match ban, which is set to rule him out of Saturday week’s All-Ireland semi-final against Mayo.

Latton man McGorman was eventually replaced in the 55th minute but not before scoring a goal in the 20th minute of the second half. He was later found to have fractured his jaw.
