Cork have been drawn to face Mayo in this coming weekend’s All-Ireland senior quarter-final in Croke Park as Kerry meet Tyrone in another last-eight game.
After surprising Donegal, Dublin will take on Connacht runners-up Galway while Louth and Monaghan face off in the remaining quarter-final.
Cork haven’t faced Mayo since their 2017 All-Ireland qualifier when Mayo came out on top by a point.
It’s a third meeting in four seasons for Kerry-Tyrone and they competed in last year’s All-Ireland semi-final. Kerry won that clash by six points as they did their 2023 All-Ireland quarter-final by 11.
Dublin and Galway meet for the first time since Ger Brennan picked up a 12-week ban for engaging with Galway strength and conditioning coach Cian Breathnach-McGinn in their final Division 1 league game in Salthill in March. Breathnach-McGinn was also suspended for eight weeks.
The Central Competitions Control Committee will confirm dates and throw-in times later today with Galway and Dublin expected to take place in Croke Park on Saturday. A double-header involving Cork and Kerry on Sunday can’t be ruled out.
