James Owens to take charge of Cork-Limerick Munster SHC final

James Owens will take charge of Sunday week’s Munster SHC final, which will be his second Cork-Limerick appointment in six weeks.

The Wexford official was the man in the middle for Cork’s two-point Round 2 victory over Limerick in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on April 26.

Owens has taken charge of three All-Ireland finals – 2015, ’18 and ’19 – and this marks his first Munster senior decider since the Tipperary-Waterford fixture 11 years ago.

Owens, who sent off Limerick captain Cian Lynch for hitting out at Tim O’Mahony in the game in April, also refereed Limerick’s Round 4 victory over Waterford in TUS Gaelic Grounds earlier this month.
