The GAA’s annual Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta will take place in the Donegal Gaeltacht this year across the May Bank Holiday weekend in CLG Chill Chartha.

This year sees the 55th staging of Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta and more games than ever will be broadcast on TG4 and RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta – both proud partners of the competition.

All seven Gaeltacht counties will be represented as well as clubs from Dublin and Antrim.

GAA President, Jarlath Burns paid tribute to all involved.

The Irish language is an extremely important part of the GAA, and there is no better way to bring Irish speakers and Gaelic football supporters together from all corners of the country than through Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta.

“I wish everyone taking part in this year’s Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta the very best of luck, from players, managers, referees, competition organisers, supporters, and anyone else involved. I am certain that everyone will have a memorable weekend in Cill Chartha and in the Donegal Gaeltacht.”
