Such are the fine margins in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship, despite only losing narrowly in Cork last weekend, Limerick know they can barely afford another loss in Clare this weekend.

The blow of losing Aaron Gillane through injurytarget="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> was compounded by the blow of losing Cian Lynch to a red card before they eventually fell to defeat to the Rebels on Sunday.

But given that it was only their first game of the championship, the Treaty County have a huge opportunity to bounce back when they head to Ennis.

Clare, on the other hand, will feel they have a huge opportunity of their own given that Gillane and Lynch will miss the trip while the home side will already be buoyed by their victory at home to Waterford in their opening match.

They will also be well rested after having last weekend off.
