Cork’s final Division 2 National Football League game on Saturday, March 14 has been moved to Páirc Uí Rinn.
The Kildare game had originally been scheduled for SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh but has been switched to nearby Páirc Uí Rinn where they beat Meath last Sunday following a request from the management team. The game retains its 5pm throw-in.
The venue was updated on the GAA website on Thursday after the Central Competitions Control Committee agreed to the change. Cork are currently on top of Division 2 with a full complement of eight points from four outings.
Meanwhile, Thursday evening is set to be busy in Cork disciplinary matters as Ian Maguire is expected to contest a proposed two-match ban in front of the Central Hearings Committee.
The midfielder was dismissed for an incident involving Adam O’Neill in the second half of the victory over Meath and the infraction has been deemed “striking with force”, a Category IV dismissal.
Shane Barrett is also set to challenge the two-match repeat infraction suspension that was imposed on him following his sending off the National Hurling League Division 1A win over Tipperary in Páirc Ui Chaoimh earlier this month.
Barrett and Cork are understood to be taking his case to the Central Appeals Committee.
