The way Colin Corkery sees it, Steven Sherlock mightn’t have returned to the Cork panel but for the new rules.

The St Finbarr’s man himself admitted last October that the changes to the game had “reignited” him. Who knows what assurances John Cleary gave him to convince him to return after taking last season out, but the rules may have done most of the talking.
