De La Salle and St Finbarr’s will play their AIB Munster Senior Camogie Club Championship final at FBD Semple Stadium on Saturday week, November 22, with throw-in at 1pm.

In this highly anticipated decider, the two clubs are appearing in the decider for the first time with history in the making.

The novel pairing came about following De La Salle’s 2-21 to 3-16 triumph over Thurles Sarsfields, and St Finbarr’s double extra-time win over Newcastle West, 2-19 to 3-14. Both semi-finals were thrilling contests that ended with hard-fought two-point victories.

The two squads have prominent inter-county players including the likes of Beth Carton, Abby Flynn, Keeley Corbett Barry and Maggie Gostl for the Waterford champions. Sisters Orlaith and Méabh Cahalane, Kate Wall feature alongside Sorcha McCartan for the Cork titleholders.

Carton is the De La Salle captain, while Stephanie Punch is the skipper of St Finbarr’s.

Elsewhere, the first of the provincial finals takes place on Saturday (November 15) when Ballincollig take on Moycarkey Borris in the AIB Munster Intermediate Camogie Club Championship final in Mallow at 1pm.
