Eugene Foudy is set to be named the new Clare senior camogie manager.
The Inagh-Kilnamona man will take over from outgoing manager John Carmody, who he served with as a coach.
He will begin a two-year term subject to ratification at the October Clare Camogie Board meeting.
A youthful Clare team reached the quarter-final of this year's All-Ireland series, where they were beaten by Waterford by 10 points. They also reached the National League Division 1B final.
Carmody stepped down after a three year term last month, having served as co-manager with Conor Dolan for a year before that.
Clare Camogie Chairperson Fergal O’Brien said: “We are delighted that someone of Eugene’s experience is available to take up this hugely important position. The challenge for Eugene and his backroom team is to take Clare camogie to the next level.
"We believe that Eugene has the required credentials to lead this talented group of players forward. We wish him every success, and I am sure our supporters will get fully behind Eugene, his management and the team.”
Foudy has managed Inagh/Kilnamona to win four Clare senior camogie championships and also managed the Inagh senior hurlers in 2007. He has also been involved with the county junior and minor panels.
