Ballymacelligott continued their 100% start to the Kerry Premier Junior Championship with a convincing 6-18 to 0-8 win over St. Pat's Blennerville.

Despite a very close start, Ballymac found their stride and never looked back in the second quarter. Opening half goals from Jack Joy, Niall Collins and Daire Keane helped the hosts into the ascendency as they held a 3-9 to 0-3 lead at the break.

The hosts continued their hot streak in the second half, adding three more goals. Darragh Broderick netted their fourth, before Keane and Donal Daly waved quickfire green flags in succession as the hosts powered to victory.

They will now face Ballyduff at home this coming weekend after the dual club lost to Duagh 2-18 to 1-11. Duagh led 0-12 to 0-6 at half-time with Cormac Dillon on form but when Evan Boyle caught the throw-in for the second half and sent Kevin Goulding through, he cut the deficit to three with a super goal.

But that was as good as it got for Ballyduff, with Duagh taking over thanks to Thomas Scanlon at centre-back and the midfield pairing of Ted Moloney and Kieran Lucey, Duagh made hay. Goals from Killian Buckley and Thomas Scanlon and a ten point haul from Kerry U20 Dillon ensured that Duagh were to top their group and they will meet the runners-up in Group 2 St Senan's.

St Senan's had to come from behind to draw with unbeaten Listry with the game finishing 1-15 apiece. Ruairí Murphy with a late goal appeared to have won this game for Listry but a last minute two-pointer from St Senan's grabbed a share of the spoils. Churchill had a big win over Currow to finish third.

Group 4 was one of the most difficult groups but Keel, having got a fright in their last game away to Brosna, where they needed a Keith Evans goal to grab a point, had no such problems when they defeated neighbours Annascaul 0-18 to 0-9.

Keel won the final 40 minutes of this contest by 16 points to four, despite playing the final 20 minutes with 14 men after Gary Murphy’s sending off. Liam Evans of Kerry U20 fame was the man of the match and they had a good spread of scores with Cian Flynn kicking 0-5.

Ardfert just about grabbed the runners-up spot with a last minute two-pointer from Nathan O’Driscoll who is becoming the king from outside the arc in a 2-15 apiece draw with Brosna. In fact O’Driscoll kicked 0-9 including three two-pointers while their goals were scored by two substitutes, Eoin O’Flaherty and Felim O’Sullivan.
