Jason Forde edges Tipp in front but Kilkenny hit back.
Two quick points at Tipp are level. Some game this.
Big call for Derek Lyng and Kilkenny now. When Limerick had an extra man against Dublin, they kept a defender free close to goal. Will Richie Reid do the same?
Carey shown a yellow card, Kilkenny a little fortunate with that decision, perhaps.
Cian Kenny scores and doubles Kilkenny's lead. They are starting to make full use of the extra man.
Martin Keoghan fires it over the bar.

TJ Reid converts a free in the last action of the first half. Some scoring once again.
Here are John Fogarty's reflections: "Tipperary took some time to get cooking but when they did Kilkenny felt their heat. All of the Tipp inside line have bagged goals, first John McGrath, then Darragh McCarthy followed by Jason Forde. The hammer is being hammered. Some superb long-range scoring from Conor Stakelum and Eoghan Connolly too. Kilkenny have kept scoring and winning plenty of frees. Jordan Molloy has been impressive. But they are known more for their first half exploits. Will need to change their ways to win this."
is warmed up and will take us through the second period.

Andrew Ormond is taking some hospital passes but has managed to do well each time. Adrian Mullen and Eoin Cody struggling at the moment for Kilkenny.

We have a chorus of Tipp! Tipp! Tipp! as Jake Morris sweeps up a mishit free and scores his first of the day. Mossy Keoghan responds.
Kilkenny are withdrawing one of their full-forward out on the Tipperary puckout and cleaning them out when they go long. Cian Kenny's driving runs down the middle and their own restart are among them.

Kilkenny ain't for changing. The Tipp half-forward haven't forced Richie Reid to come out and mark so far. He continues to sit, Paddy Deegan is tagging Jake Morris and inside the matchups are as follows: Mikey Butler on Jason Forde, Huw Lawlor on John McGrath and Shane Murphy on Darragh McCarthy."
It's all happening.

Kilkenny win the toss and will play towards Hill 16 in the first half.
Wind will be more of a factor here than yesterday. Seems to be going across the field.
Tipperary boss Liam Cahill says it's going to be different for a lot of his side who haven't played in Croke Park but they're well used to big arenas.

Kilkenny boss Derek Lyng, speaking to RTÉ's Damien Lawlor, says his panel have trained hard and used the time well but the Cats need to bring it on the day.
"Tipp might be ahead of schedule, but that won’t lessen anyone’s hurry on Sunday. I expect fireworks and I expect it to be neck and neck down the straight. Then it will probably come down to who finds that other gear."
Liam Sheedy is expecting pyrotechnics at HQ. Read his preview here.

A flash shower had supporters running for cover towards the end of a fine All-Ireland camogie quarter-final. A large Tipperary crowd here. Nothing like Cork's but will outnumber Kilkenny.
