Séamus Harnedy will miss Saturday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Dublin. Cork manager Pat Ryan said the half-forward has been struggling with a hamstring issue.
Harnedy was superb for the Rebels in their Munster final victory over Limerick, playing 68 minutes of the penalty shootout victory. The Cork management are hopeful that the St Ita's man will be available for the All-Ireland final on July 20 should their side defeat Dublin.
Ryan added that defender Ger Millerick, who suffered a broken finger in Cork's victory over Waterford in the Munster round robin and subsequently missed the decider, is doubtful for the semi-final.
There is some good news for Cork on the injury front with captain Robert Downey, corner-back Niall O'Leary, and forward Declan Dalton all set to be available to face Dublin. Downey and O'Leary both came on as substitutes against Limerick while Dalton did not feature in the matchday 26.
“Séamus has a hamstring issue, unfortunately,” Ryan told .
“He’s back running in training this week. You’d be hoping he’d be back if we made it to the final but it’ll need some work.
“The other lads are all perfect but there’s still a bit of a question over Ger Millerick, where he’s at.
“He’s back in training, so it’s about whether he has enough done. Ger and Sham are the only two, everyone else is fine, thankfully.”
