The Cork U20 hurling team to face Clare in their Munster championship opener this Wednesday (Sixmilebridge, 7pm) contains seven players that featured in last year’s provincial final defeat to Tipperary.

Corner-backs Denis Cashman and Timmy Wilk, half-back Ben Walsh, and half-forward Barry Walsh all started the 2024 Munster U20 final, with full-back James O’Brien and the inside forward pair of Barry O’Flynn and Ross O’Sullivan introduced as subs in that game. Adam O’Sullivan is the other player from that final defeat still eligible for U20, but he will not feature at Sixmilebridge owing to a hamstring injury.
