Dr Crokes' Micheál Burns among nominees for Club Footballer of the Year

Cuala lead the way in the men's team of the year while Kilkerrin-Clonberne dominate in the women's category.

Dr Crokes' Micheál Burns, Errigal Ciarán's Ruairí Canavan and Cuala's Con O'Callaghan have all been nominated for AIB Club Footballer of the Year. All-Ireland champions Cuala lead the award winners in the team of the year with six players recognised while there are five from Errigal Ciarán and two each from Dr Crokes and Coolera-Strandhill. 

Kilkerrin-Clonberne duo Eva Noone and Louise Ward have both been nominated for Ladies Gaelic Football Club Player of the Year along with Aoife Kane of Kilmacud Crokes. All-Ireland champions Kilkerrin-Clonberne dominate the team of the year with eight players getting the nod. There are also five players included from Kilmacud Crokes, and one each from Castleisland Desmonds and Clann Éireann. 

The Player of the Year winners will be announced at a Croke Park ceremony on March 21.
