Before the start of the season I anticipated more innovation when it came to the way teams approached the new rules. On reflection it isn’t that surprising that speed of change and adaptation has been somewhat slower than expected. Management teams have a finite amount of time with their players and have much to consider. Chiefly they need to win matches.
