Ballinora's Munster GAA appeal fails as Fermoy quarter-final spot confirmed

Ballinora’s hopes of overturning last week’s ruling that awarded their McCarthy Insurance Group PIFC Group 3 Round 3 tie to Fermoy have ended after their appeal to the Munster Council fell short on Monday night.

The outcome means the decision made last Tuesday — which corrected the Glenville fixture from a 0-21 to 2-15 draw to a 0-22 to 2-15 Fermoy victory — now stands, confirming Fermoy’s progression to the quarter‑finals and leaving Ballinora out of the knockout picture.
