Here we go. Leitrim face Laois in Ballinamore on Saturday in the first league fixture of 2025 under the new Gaelic football rules. Galway welcome Armagh in a repeat of the All-Ireland final later that evening. What can we expect?

For the football review committee, chaired by Jim Gavin, it is about more than the key metrics from the upcoming games. The vibes matter. They want people to feel invigorated by the game again.
