It was captain versus captain. St Lachtain’s skipper Criomhthann Bergin was tasked with marking Russell Rovers’ Ciarán Sheehan. As a 14-year-old, the defender came to Croke Park to see Freshford win the 2010 All-Ireland intermediate final.

Yesterday he played with some of those idols.
