Leinster secretary Michael Reynolds wants the GAA’s hurling development committee to recognise that it is more than a sport.

As former Laois manager Willie Maher is set to be announced by the body as the Association’s national head of hurling, Reynolds wrote in his annual report: “This role holder, along with the National Hurling Development Committee and all the stakeholders involved, has an important role to play in shaping the future of hurling.
