Mayo goalkeeper Rob Hennelly announces retirement from intercounty football

The Breaffy man made 43 league and 32 championship appearances for Mayo including three All-Ireland finals. He made his senior debut in 2011 against Kerry in MacHale Park in the Allianz League.

Mayo’s veteran goalkeeper Rob Hennelly has retired from inter-county football after 16 seasons.

The 34-year-old steps away from the scene having played in three All-Ireland finals and making 32 senior championship appearances for his county, the last of them in 2022 in an All-Ireland quarter-final against Kerry.
