New football rules will not be used in upcoming Sigerson Cup

A number of managers are understood to be dismayed with the decision.

The GAA’s higher education competitions committee have confirmed the new football rules will not be operation in the Sigerson Cup and lower third level football competitions.

An email was issued to colleges and universities shortly after the conclusion of Saturday’s Special Congress where all the Football Review Committee (FRC) recommendations were passed.
