Derry defender Chrissy McKaigue announces retirement from inter-county football

Dual player McKaigue made his senior football debut for Derry in 2008 and confirmed to RTÉ that he won’t be involved in Paddy Tally’s set-up next season having spoken to the county’s new manager last week.

Derry defender Chrissy McKaigue has confirmed his retirement from inter-county Gaelic football.

The Slaughtneil man, 35, won two Ulster SFC titles (2022, ’23) with The Oak Leaf County as well as a Division 1 title this past season.
