Former Cork and Kildare footballer Bryan Murphy is to put his name forward for the chairmanship of the Kildare County Board.

Long established with Clane, the Bishopstown native, who has managed the Lilywhites footballers at minor and U21, scored the winning goal for Kildare against Meath in the 1998 Leinster SFC final.
