Enniskillen Gaels and Erne Gaels will have to do it all again after a low-scoring draw at a wet Brewster Park.
There was little between the sides throughout and despite Enniskillen hitting three early second-half scores to move two in front Erne Gaels responded well and had a chance to win it but Shane Rooney’s free from in front of the posts dropped short.
Erne Gaels settled better in the opening half and went in one point ahead at the break.
The opening exchanges were edgy before the Belleek outfit opened the scoring on five minutes.
Dan McCann found space on the 45 and shot high and true but Enniskillen were level three minutes later as Conor Murphy curled over.
The sides exchanged scores in the 12th and 13th minutes. Oisin Kelm broke through a soft challenge to give himself time to point but Ethan Beresford restored parity.
Dan McCann hit a sweet effort off the outside of his left boot on 16 minutes as his side took the ball from the kick out and worked it all the way up the stand side.
From the resulting kick out it could have been so much better as Shane Rooney did well to turn it over and the ball was played to Ultan Kelm but his shot was well saved by Ross Bogue.
And in a kick to Erne Gaels, Enniskillen went up the pitch and Beacom converted an easy free to leave it 0-03 apiece.
The edginess in the game was ramping up with some niggling incidents but it took almost 10 minutes for another score.
Enniskillen took the lead for the first time as Beacom arrowed over a massive score from distance but Erne Gaels finished strong.
Beacom’s poor pass in midfield allowed Erne Gaels to break and Ultan Kelm pointed and his brother, Aogan did the same straight after to leave it 0-05 to 0-04 at the break.
The start of the second-half saw Enniskillen start with gusto.
John Reihill pointed a free after putting Erne Gaels' kick out under pressure.
Then Callum Jones rifled over before Beresford got his second of the day to leave it 0-07 to 0-05 after 35 minutes.
Ultan Kelm hit a free to cut the deficit but it took 12 minutes for the next score and it was worth the wait as Dan McCann hit his third brilliant score of the day to level matters.
Erne Gaels went in front with 10 to go as Ultan Kelm pointed on the run but a Ross Bogue ’45 restored parity and with time almost up Rooney failed to convert while Jones also missed a difficult free late on with the sides having to do it all again next Saturday.
