Sarsfields manager Johnny Crowley was as gracious in defeat as in victory. Twelve months previously he stood in the same tunnel in Páirc Uí Chaoimh having guided his charges to their first title in nine years. A year on things were different.

“Fair play to Imokilly, they are a fantastic team. They played brilliant hurling, they took their scores when the opportunity arose. They put every nail in the coffin they could," Crowley said Sunday evening.
