CLARE TALKS: Peter Keane.

Former Kerry manager Peter Keane has emerged as a late contender for the vacant football manager position in Clare.

After initial discussions, Keane met this week with officials in Clare and is now regarded as one of the leading contenders to take over from fellow Kerry man Mark Fitzgerald along with two more Kingdom products, John Evans and Declan O’Keeffe, who is now domiciled in The Banner County.
