Galway SHC: Cappataggle and Clarinbridge book semi-final spots

Cappataggle came with a late surge to edge out neighbours Sarsfields in a thrilling Galway SHC quarter-final, while Clarinbridge produced a strong second-half display to see off Tommy Larkins and also reach the last four.

Seven-in-a-row chasing St Thomas will meet Turloughmore and Loughrea will take on Castlegar in the remaining quarter-finals in Athenry on Sunday.
