As far as we know, the Football Review Committee’s (FRC) list of proposals to improve the game remains open-ended.

Going into next month’s interprovincial games (October 18 and 19), there are over a dozen still on the table: two-point arc/four-point goal; three outfield players remaining behind the 65-metre lines at all times; tap-and-go free; a 50m penalty for a tactical foul or dissent; three kick-out rule changes in terms of speed they can be taken, distance they must travel and their starting point (20m line); goal-scoring advantage from a mark taken inside the 20m line; restriction on passes to the goalkeeper; a change to the tackle to allow an open hand attack on the ball, a black card for holding up a player in possession without grounding them; one-on-one throw-in; six substitutes; and the clock/hooter.
