Be honest we are all suckers for a shock.

LIKE any county championship the country over, the early rounds in Cork can be a tad predictable. Nemo, Castlehaven, and the Barrs collect with minimum fuss the top three seeds on the football side of the house. Sars, Midleton, Blackrock, and the Barrs do likewise in hurling. Often the saving mystery attached to the group stages is who emerges from the pack behind them to claim the last few knockout berths.
