Rathmore survived a late Templenoe fight back to top Group A of the Senior Club Championship when they edged out the home side on a 2-9 to 1-11 scoreline in Templenoe.

Rathmore scored two first quarter goals from Andrew Moynihan and John Moynihan but Templenoe struck back with a 14th minute goal from Josh Crowley Holland.

Killian Spillane scored 0-4 for Templenoe while Shane Ryan had two points for Rathmore as the East Kerry side led 2-4 to 1-6 at half time.

Three third quarter Rathmore points from James Darmody, Shane Ryan and Ciaran Collins saw them move 2-7 to 1-6 clear. But by the 50th minute points from Killian and Adrian Spillane and a 45 from Aidan Crowley saw the home side close to within a point. But points from Shane and Mark Ryan appeared to have given Rathmore victory until Killian Spillane closed the gap to a single but it was too little too late.

Rathmore (4pts) face Spa (1pt) at home next weekend and should top the group with Kenmare Shamrocks (2pts) hosting Templenoe (1pt) with the winner taking all.

It would appear that Dingle will wrap up Group B following a demolition job on depleted Na Gaeil, beating the Tralee side 1-17 to 0-6 with the Geaney clan contributing 1-15 of their total. Dylan Geaney scored 0-6 from play, brother Conor scored 0-4, Niall 0-2, and cousin Paul scored 1-3.

Dingle have (4pts) and will now play Milltown Castlemaine (2pts ) away next weekend while Dr Crokes on (2pts) will face pointless Na Gaeil in Killeen so it looks like Dingle and Crokes will join Rathmore in the semis with Kenmare Shamrocks and Templenoe fighting out for the final slot.
