Gaelic Players Association (GPA) chief executive Tom Parsons has indicated the body could get behind August All-Ireland finals if the inter-county season starts later.

The GPA membership do not want to see the eight-month period – December to July – increased. However, disbanding the provincial pre-season competitions and a later return to training could be something they get behind.
