Dr Crokes are Kerry SFL champions but look set to lose starlet Charlie Keating to AFL
Kerry's Charlie Keating in action against Gavin Potter of Tyrone in the All-Ireland U20 final in Portlaoise.
Dr Crokes are Kerry SFL Division 1 champions with one game still to go after pummelling Division 2 bound Milltown/Castlemaine 5-15 to 0-4 and Rathmore surprisingly slipping up at home to Dingle who may yet escape the drop.
It was Dr Crokes tenth win from ten outings under returning boss Pat O’Shea and this was by far the easiest of them with the Mid Kerry club not raising a gallop despite the fact that they still have a chance of avoiding relegation if they can manage to beat Dingle next weekend. Crokes introduced two players of note in the second half, David Shaw just back from the US who scored their fifth goal and also Kerry and Munster U20 Player of the year Charlie Keating, who was playing with Crokes for the first time in the League this year.
