Five second half goals lit up the Allianz Sciath na Scol Chorcaí Urban H2 final at Páirc Uí Rinn on Wednesday. Crucially, three of these went the way of North Monastery courtesy of Cillian Murray and Alex Linguar (two), and they proved to be the catalyst for victory.
The first half was low-scoring but there was no shortage of endeavour as the Mon secured a 0-3 to nil interval lead.
Led by the decorated Caine Wolfe, Cillian Murray’s goal after the break laid the foundation.
Shaun Daly pulled one back for St Joseph’s but Alex Linguar made sure of the result despite increased pressure when Ronan O’Rourke struck St Joseph’s second goal.

Supporters got another real treat in the Urban C1 decider with a seven-goal fest between Rushbrooke and Scoil Bhríde ending in a thrilling one-point win for Rushbrooke.

Star of the show was Isabelle Geary who bagged 2-2 for the winners.
However, Saoirse Morey was excellent for Scoil Bhríde as she tallied 2-4 for the gallant runners-up.
Rushbrooke enjoyed a 1-3 to 1-1 lead at the break - Ali Murphy’s goal cancelling out an earlier effort from Geary.
Sarah Drumgoole. Chloe Farrell and Geary pushed them seven clear, but they had to hold off a late Midleton resurgence when Morey scored twice from placed balls.
Rushbrooke were also thankful to goalkeeper Jessica O’Neill for a tremendous point-blank save.

Farran turned on the style in the second half to secure the title in the DC6 final. Following a nip-and-tuck opening period (1-1 to 0-3) - the goal came from Orlaith O’Connell - four more spectacular green flags sealed a marvellous win.
Alex Brennan registered two of their majors, while Lilly May Healy and Jane McCarthy were responsible for one each.
Huge credit also to their defence, keeping a clean sheet was a huge achievement.

For Rennies, the Nohoval-based school, it wasn’t for the want of trying. Among those to stand out were Charlie Twomey and Aila Cronin (’45), while Hannah O’Driscoll fired over three great scores from placed balls.

There was double the joy for Farran after they took the spoils in a high-scoring and high-quality DH6 decider.
With goals the order of the day again, they hit the front from the off resulting in an interval advantage of 3-3 to 0-3.
There was plenty of fight in Laragh too - situated just outside Bandon town - and they responded admirably in the second half, but they had to give way to a sparkling display from the Farran team.

There were a brace of green flags from Matthew Healy, Fionn Sheehan and Tom Canty, while Eoghan O’Brien was also among the goal-getters for the victors.
Healy led the way in the scoring charts with his impressive return of 2-5.
Laragh showed great spirit too. Joe McCarthy’s major started the second half revival, and thanks to goals from Paschal McCarthy and Jack Keohane they fought all the way to the end line.
Matthew Healy (2-5, 0-4 frees), Fionn Sheehan and Tom Canty (2-0 each), Eoghan O’Brien (1-0), Ciarán O’Sullivan (0-1 free).
