Second year Kerry minor football manager Wayne Quillinan is a personal trainer by day and a ‘babysitter’ of sorts in the evenings as he morphs into coaching a Kerry minor squad to face Cork next week in the Munster SFC.

Hence, he is well positioned on the GAA divide on whether the minor grade should remain at 17 or move back to 18 years of age, taking training loads, physical development and maturity into account. Does an extra year make a difference in terms of physical development and maturity?
