Dublin's Ciaran Kilkenny 'delighted' to finally get chance to face Offaly

To add to his intrigue, Kilkenny's mother, Mary, is an Offaly native and grew up there before moving to Laois as a teenager.

It's not exactly an itch that Ciaran Kilkenny is desperate to scratch.

Still, in his 13th season as a Dublin footballer, playing Offaly for the first time, in either the league or the Championship, will be a novel experience this Sunday.
