Kerry ladies football has come an awful long way under the joint-management of Darragh Long and Declan Quill. Sunday’s Division One league final against Armagh will, amazingly, be the Kingdom’s fifth successive national decider.

However, after making up their minds to stay at the helm for another season, and with the memory of back-to-back All-Ireland final defeats fresh in their thought process, the duo realised that little tweaks were needed in the push for ultimate honours.
