Fitzgibbon Cup champions Mary Immaculate College Limerick lead the way in the Electric Ireland Team of the Year for the competition.

Mary I have seven players awarded for their performances while finalists the University of Limerick have four. There are also three representatives from the University of Galway and one from SETU Waterford.

Coached by cousins Jamie Wall and Podge Collins, Mary I defeated UL - who were aiming to win three consecutive Fitzgibbon Cup titles - by two points in last month's final at the Abbeydorney club in North Kerry. It was the Mary I's third ever title at the top level.

The third level Football Team of the Year will be announced on March 28th while the Football and Hurler of the Year awards will be handed out at a ceremony on April 1st.
