Limerick have again been forced to move a home game away from TUS Gaelic Grounds.

Next Saturday’s Allianz Hurling League Division 1B, Round 4 home game against Tipperary will now be played in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh (7.35 throw-in).

It follows the Round 1 match against Dublin being switched to FBD Semple Stadium as a result of repair work being done on the playing surface at the Ennis Road venue.

A statement from Limerick GAA on the latest venue transfer read: “Last December upgrading works of the playing surface at the TUS Gaelic Grounds were carried out. However, in light of the current inclement weather conditions and low temperatures the pitch is not ready to facilitate such a game.

"Limerick GAA would like to thank Cork County Board and SuperValu Pairc Uí Chaoimh for facilitating the change of venue.

"Limerick GAA wish to extend its thanks to our loyal fan base and express our regret that we can not host this game. For anyone who has tickets purchased, Croke Park Ticketing office will be in contact in due course with details of new arrangements.

"We wish to acknowledge the assistance from Tipperary County Board and also the CCCC (Central Competitions Control Committee) in facilitating the change."

Limerick’s final Division 1B game against Galway on Sunday, March 17 is still scheduled to take place at TUS Gaelic Grounds.
