New GAA president Burns aims to make football 'a more enjoyable spectacle to watch and play'

New GAA president Jarlath Burns is aiming to rid Gaelic football of the “sight of endless passing across the half-forward line” and make it a “more enjoyable spectacle to watch and play”.
Confirming Dublin’s six-time All-Ireland SFC manager Jim Gavin will head up his football review body, Burns referred to his previous time as playing rules committee when he proposed the kick-out mark.
