First-choice Cork football goalkeeper Micheál Aodh Martin will make his first appearance of 2024 in Sunday’s potentially season-defining Division 2 fixture away to Fermanagh.
A groin injury sidelined Martin for Cork’s McGrath Cup campaign and opening three rounds of the League.
He was not part of the matchday 26 for last Saturday’s defeat at home to Cavan, but management have obviously seen enough midweek to return Martin between the sticks for Sunday’s assignment in Ederney.
Cork's restarts were a problem in the defeats to Donegal, Louth, and Cavan.
John Cleary's side will be hoping the return of their first choice ‘keeper will bring about a timely improvement in their retention of possession from the kicking tee.
Martin replacing Chris Kelly is the sole change to the Cork team that came up one point short of Cavan, 0-17 to 0-16, at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh last weekend.
